Requirements / FAQ
Rider requirements:
  • Student must have a class 6 license (minimum 1 year riding experience)
  • A well-prepared motorcycle of at least 250cc (125cc GP also allowed). Preparation includes:
    • No fluid leaks, good brakes, etc.
    • Remove or tape mirrors
    • Disconnect brake light, or remove bulbs/fuse, or tape brake-light lens
    • Adequate chain slack (read your owners manual)
    • Excellent tires (We prefer new, and suggest that you contact the manufacturer for recommended racetrack pressures. These are not the pressures on the side of the tire, nor are they the pressures cited in your owners manual).
    • Coolant removed and Distilled water added to replace it.
  • Proper riding gear, including:
    • A DOT or Snell-approved helmet manufactured after 2000.
    • One-piece or zip-together leather riding suit (or AerostitchTM or equivalent). If you need to rent leathers, Stratotech Park has a limited supply of Joe Rocket leathers available for rent.
    • Riding boots that COVER your ankle
    • Motorcycle-specific gloves with wrist enclosure (no "stunting" gloves)

Can I attend if I do not have my bike license?
It is not recommended for students who have less than 1 year of riding experience to take this course. It is a performance riding course that is race track based, and thus a good working knowledge of your bike is required.
Can I rent a motorcycle / leathers / Gear?
Yes, Stratotech Park rents Aprilia RS 125 bikes exclusively for OnTrack Performance. Leather rentals can also be arranged at the race track the day of the school. No other gear can be rented or is provided.
Can I buy food at the track?
Unfortunately No, During trackdays there is no concession available. Water will be provided in the classroom for you, however you need to bring your own food.
Are there any other fees I need to pay on top of my class?
Yes, you must be a member of the Edmonton Motorcycle Racing Association (EMRA). The membership cost is $35/per year. If you are already a member, there is no other fees to worry about.
Can I purchase Video and/or Pictures?
Yes, there will be a videographer on track at most of the OnTrack Schools. As well there will be video and picture packages available through these private companies.

What happens in the event of rain?
If the event is called on the event of rain by the track day provider / race track, students will receive a full refund. This will not be determined until when your registration is set to begin on the day of the class. If there is any doubt...head to the race track.
What is your refund policy?
In the event that the trackday provider / race track calls a rain out, students will receive a full refund. All other refunds / cancelations will require 10 business days notice. If a waiting list has been started and another rider can fill the vacant spot, a full refund will then be given.
What if my equipment or bike fails tech on the day of the class?
Please ensure your equipment is in good working order as no refunds can be given to students who cannot ride due to inadequate preparation.
